![]() Funspot and The American Classic Arcade Museum at Funspot579 Endicott St. North Laconia, NH 03246 (603) 366-4377 www.FunspotNH.com In 1979, Funspot became a regular site for video gaming tournaments, starting with a state-wide tournament on Space Invaders, which at the time was the biggest video game hit in history. In the years since, the upper floor of Funspot has become the American Classic Arcade Museum at Funspot, featuring scores of classic arcade titles. Each year the ACAM hosts a classic video gaming tournament featuring many of the best classic video game players from around the world. Dozens of all-time video game high score records have been set at the Funspot and ACAM location, including the first-ever officially recognized perfect Pac-Man score in 1999, Donkey Kong world records by Steve Wiebe and Hank Chien, and the current world record scores on top classics such as Space Invaders, Scramble, Centipede and Galaxian (as of this writing). Funspot has also been recognized in a great deal of press coverage as well as numerous films, including cult classic The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters, released in 2007. Among the hundreds of classic machines included at this New Hampshire arcade shrine include Computer Space, Pong, Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Galaga, Defender, Asteroids, Punch-Out!!, Q*bert's Qubes, Double Dragon, Pac-Man Plus, Super Pac-Man, Jr. Pac-Man, Donkey Kong Junior, Donkey Kong 3, Scramble, Super Cobra, Lock 'n' Chase, Mr. Do!, Contra, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, VS. Super Mario Bros., Rampage, Paperboy, Centipede, Millipede, Warlords, Tetris, VS. Duck Hunt, VS. Dr. Mario, Mercs, Dragon's Lair, Popeye, Mario Bros., Space Harrier, Video Pinball and many, many more. In 2011, ACAM expanded it's upstairs floorspace and introduced an interactive touchscreen where visitors can view the many record scores set at the location over the years.
