Former Broderbund Software Headquarters17 Paul Drive

After the young software company took the plunge by moving from roots in Eugene, OR to set up shop in this Californa location, Broderbund left a lasting impact on nearly every software and gaming platform.
Their smash hits Choplifter and Lode Runner were so popular they were translated into arcade games, a big role reversal at the time and a rare event to this very day. New versions of both games continue to come out for home consoles to this very day.
Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? transcended computers and even saw a television show based on the software series.
Prince of Persia was a later 80s smash hit that continues to this day. A film based on the more recent incarnations of the franchise is among the best-earning video game-based films in history.
Raid on Bungeling Bay did well enough on computers and the Nintendo Entertainment System to launch the career of programmer Will Wright of SimCity and The Sims fame.
Other popular games such as David's Midnight Magic and Karateka proved popular enough to appear on Atari console and computer platforms in the late 1980s.
